What an awesome morning at the duathlon today - beautiful weather and so many kids giving their Personal Best. I just love it how we had so many students participated and stepped outside of their comfort zone. A massive thank you to those students who did the individual AND the team event or stepped in to help a team out, or, did two events in the team event when a team member was absent. You showed awesome character today :)
Hi Everyone
This is our first official post on our Blog! Our texperts have been working on making our Blog user friendly. If you have any suggestions for the team on what you would like to see here, please post away. We hope that you are receiving our weekly newsletters which we email out to you at the end of the week. If you are not receiving these, please let us know asap. We now have our reading classes/groups up and running and our Maths classes/groups up and running. So far this has been a smooth transition and we are extremely impressed with the way the students have transitioned into this. There will be a fair amount of movement within the groups and between classes at times to cater for differing student needs. We have had two inquiry tuning in lessons and will complete the third this week. We imagine that by Week 5 or 6 the students may begin looking at designing and carrying out their own inquiry research. Much of our art is beginning to be completed, which is exciting, so our walls will be adorned with more colour across this week. Please feel free to come and check it all out over the next week or two. Hei konā mai (Goodbye for now) Anita McGowan, Katelyn Hill, and Carole Clark. |
